Il sole di mezzanotte è un fenomeno astronomico che si verifica nella regioni polari. In prossimità dell’estate a causa dell’inclinazione dell’asse di rotazione terrestre, a latitudini superiore a 66 gradi e 33 primi, il sole non scende mai sotto l’orizzonte.
Le isole Svalbard da fine Aprile a fine Agosto sono interessate a questo fenomeno, quindi per tutta la durata della nostra permanenza nell’arcipelago norvegese ci sarà sempre il sole a tenerci compagnia!
Lì dove il sole splende per 24 ore e 20 ragazzi esplorano l’artico risulta necessaria una protezione per la vista dai raggi solari.
A questo proposito un’azienda di Varallo Pombia (No), “Life is color” ci ha contattato e si è resa disponibile a fornirci dei fantastici occhiali da sole ad elevata protezione dalle radiazioni solari. Proprio ieri ci è arrivato un grande pacco contenente dei coloratissimi occhiali per ognuno di noi e alcune maschere e caschetti per le spedizioni sui ghiacciai. Abbiamo subito indossato gli occhiali al termine delle lezioni accorgendoci della loro ottima qualità. “Life is color” inoltre lavora e decora a mano i suoi prodotti, scegliere tra le diverse fantasie e colori è stata davvero dura!
Ringraziamo molto Matteo Tuveri proprietario di “Life is color” per averci gentilmente offerto questi coloratissimi occhiali che non vediamo l’ora di portare con noi alle Svalbard e per la sua grande disponibilità!

There where the sun shines for 24 hours and 20 students explore the Arctic, it is necessary to have protection for our eyes from the sun’s rays.
Yesterday, a big package arrived for all of us including colorful sunglasses, and masks and helmets for the expedition on glaciers. At the end of our lessons we immediately wore the sunglasses, realizing the excellent quality. Also “Life is Color” works to do up its products manually, choosing between the different designs and colors has been really difficult.
We give a big thank you to Matteo Tuveri, the owner of “Life is Color” because he has kindly offered these colorful sunglasses. We can’t wait to bring them with us to Svalbard because of his great generosity!

ie Mitternachtssonne ist ein astronomisches Phänomen das nördlich des Polarkreises (66°33‘) zu beobachten ist. In der Sommerzeit verschwindet die Sonne aufgrund der Neigung der Erdachse gar nicht mehr hinter dem Horizont.
